Thank you the clarifications.
What I am trying to develop is something like this:
1. We will have collaborators in the villages that are prone to flooding (for example) who will feed us information from the field about the status of the water level in nearby rivers.2. When I receive the information, I will make an assessment whether or not the water level is safe, a matter of concern, or critical/dangerous. I will then share my assessment to my colleagues by choosing the appropriate color (reflecting the condition of the water level), or send them an sms (text message) that this village is code Red, Yellow, or Green. If we have some body in the circle who is color blind, then we will choose colors that will work with everybody.

I agree but I didn't see any alternatives to color so thought I'd ask. Sometimes that lowest common denominator sorta gets left out. I have no reason to believe that in this case it has but thought I'd ask.
