Robin-
The field in Link Master is the field used from the outer report to match the value in the field specified in Link Child. How can a Unit ever match a Count? That's why you see nothing in the subreport.

Thanks John,
OOOPS! Further examination has found:
Link master field to unit
Link child field to count of first name.

Open your report in Design View and open the Properties window. Select each subreport and tell us what you see in the Link Master Fields and Link Child Fields properties.
Also, what is the Record Source of the three reports?

Thanks Bill,
I have been away for other projects and have just returned to this pro blem. Please forgive my ignorance but I do not know what to check with the master/child links. What am I looking for?

Check you master/child links. If all looks okay, build a test query with the record sources from all three reports and see what you get.

Access 2013. I have a report which includes a sub-report. This works
as planned. When I add that report as a sub-report to a third report
the data from the first sub-report is missing. The labels are present.
What have I missed?
