Nice to hear from you again. I get bombarded by "new and improved", faster than SQL Server claims all the time. These companies want me to try their propducts out...as if I had free time to do MORE computer stuff. I'm very wary of those kinds of products because no one is using them. I guess it would make me more marketable if someone needed a VoltDB admin. I know that since I'm now an Epic ODBA lots of hospitals want to hire me because Epic is huge and you have to get certified to touch it.
In a case like that I say get trained in something that has a big demand, not some never-heard-of database engine.
