RE: [MS_AccessPros] Accessing an SQL Database

themultimeter,
I would almost always choose SQL Server if available. There is much greater functionality available compared with Access tables and queries.

If you already "have the database created" then you would need to upload it to SQL Server. I believe there is a tool available for this. You can also import to the SQL database from within SQL Server Management Studio.

I am working on a project and i would like to create a database that stores information based on the general information of the element.

I also know that i may have to create a report at some point.

I would like tit to be like a records file like seen on the Cop shows. Profile pic on the right, database information on the left.

Q: Which style of database should i install for use with a website database, Microsoft Access or SQL? In either case i would like to be able to access it from a website that I will create.

Q: I have the database created with the information that i am going to use, how do I use the database within SQL.
