Re: [MSAccessProfessionals] forms not opening in Windows Home

Duane and Tom.

I did a compact and repair.  It did not change.

I tried to open the form in Design view and it opened fine.  From there I when form View and it went fine.  But when I closed and tried to reopen, no deal.

Finally, I went to design view, then to Form View….SAVED the form and Closed.

And then it worked.     Strange.

Hi Bill,

Did you attempt a compact and repair? Can you open a new blank form with not code or controls? Can you tell us what you mean by "upgraded buttons"? Are these just command buttons on upgraded PCs?

In our office we have a few Windows 11 Professional systems and one Windows 11 Home system.

I just did an upgrade to our Access Database and now, for some reason some of the upgraded buttons that open forms will not work.

I also tried to click on the form directly and it still would not open.  The form that will not open is a new form.

Any thoughts as to a solution?

Is Cancel set to True in the Form_Open event?

You may also want to decompile the app.
