That's how I read it. I was imagining that one might be interested in related tests done (that is, each test within a 4 number range of another one).
It sounds like it would help yield some good analysis.

In my world of healthcare, a lab is a lab test of some kind. A sample like blood, saliva, etc is tested for a specific thing. Results can be numberic, positive/negative and so forth.

What I am wondering is if there is a way using conditional formatting to be able to highlight any lab values that fall within a range of 4.
