I agree with Liz -- good to group the results as tests often don't yield the same results even when factors are the same.
along with another conditional formatting rule to emphasize specific values within 4 of what you are looking for ...
Another option to consider is using a calculated field in the RecordSource
for instance:
GroupDifference: INT (ABS( [field] - variableTestValue ) /4.1) 'or whatever number
Then you can also use conditional formatting to color-code groups of differences with shading, which enables you to visually see how close other results are
ABS is absolute value
INT converts to integer
you wouldn't have to divide ... not sure what ranges your results are in so this would give you groups of differences.

That's how I read it. I was imagining that one might be interested in related tests done (that is, each test within a 4 number range of another one).
It sounds like it would help yield some good analysis.

In my world of healthcare, a lab is a lab test of some kind. A sample like blood, saliva, etc is tested for a specific thing. Results can be numberic, positive/negative and so forth.

To satisfy my curiosity, what is a "lab"? It can't be a laboratory.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] conditional formating
I created a report that gives me a list of labs that a person has had for the past six months. For instance their labs run 6,7,43,68,8, 92,92,2 and 93. What I am wondering is if there is a way using conditional formatting to be able to highlight any lab values that fall within a range of 4. Therefore in the example above, 6,7,8,92,92, and 93 would all have to be highlighted. Im pretty new at this, so any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks.
