Thanks for this.  just to be clear, this is not just occurring on calculated fields, it's occurring on ALL the fields on the form.     Stuart

I've had something similar with calculated controls (ie  =SUM()) at the bottom of some of my forms. I've not been able to replicate it on my development machines, but many of my users have the problem.

I now put

me.recalc on the On Open event and the On apply filter event of all my forms & that seems to fix it.
