I suspect is may have something to do with system resources. I've been having the same problem with calculated textboxes on my reports, but only when there are a large number of programs open on my computer. When only Access 2013 is open my sum() and count() textboxes appear fine if somewhat slowly and delayed, but if I have several other programs open they don't appear unless I click on each individual textbox. If there is a fix for this, I would greatly appreciate it as well. me.recalc isn't an option for reports, so Jane's suggestion doesn't work for my situation.
