Glenn-
You should be able to rename the original object (in All Objects view), and the groups should update automatically.

I like using custom groups in my development work. Together with the navigation search, they make it a little more efficient to track down my "current objects of interest." However, occasionally, I add an object to a custom group and later realize that I would like to rename the object. In order to do so, the only approach I have found that works requires several step. First the shortcut has to be removed from any and all custom groups, then rename the object, and finally recreate the shortcuts.
Is there any way to do this in fewer steps?
