RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: Moving columns in datashett view

Phil-

There shouldn't have been a problem. The only thing that comes to mind is perhaps you were failing to click Save after changing the form in Datasheet view. It'll silently revert if you don't save it.

Bill and John

Strangely, having resorted to moving the fields in table design to sort it out, the problem now seems to have sorted itself out !!!! I can now move the columns about in datasheet view (of the form) and they stay where I move them to.

Just 2 thoughts - the column I was trying to move was the rightmost column and it is a tickbox - not sure if one or both of these could have caused the problem.

Anyway - thanks very much for your help

Phil

PMJI, but you're right, Phil. The form should remember your last "view". I remember seeing the datasheet view save itself before. I had to resort to coding the column positions and widths in the form's Load event to keep it from getting messed up.

Try saving the form before closing.

Bill
