[MS_AccessPros] Re: That darn "too many databases" error.

Hi Bill :-)

I'm happy. Cause I have help! Cause I was able to get rid of the message for now! I used the working table scenario and it's gone. I would love it if you/anybody had more input so that I could decrease the potential of it happening again. I will upload my most recent database.

You may have noted that Clive later inferred that I might be getting a Christmas present when I come back from Christmas! So I'm guessing that he might be checking it out.

FYI the form that has the most queries underlying it is CustomerList and the similar form CustomerListAllContactInfo which is the first form that is opened in the process where I encountered the "cannot open" message. The RecordSource is WorkingCustomerListInfo4One table and underlying that is qCustomerListInfo4One. A key underlying query is the qCustomerList_2UnionBasicData which is a compilation of 6 queries. I tried to remove the Contacts tables and qCustomerListContactNameSpID queries from each of those 6 queries so that I could use them just once after the UnionBasicData but ended up getting the dreaded message. I added the WHERE parameters gradually, testing as I went and had gotten through one or two of the underlying queries when I got the dreaded message. It is now in its former working state.

So I'm wondering whether I should somehow create a working table for the UnionBasicData query behind the final working table to prevent future problems?

I love you! (Can you tell I'm happy??)
Connie
