RE: [AccessDevelopers] Memo fields in Access 2010

 

MS originally stated that Memo fields only searched the first 255 characters. At some point they changed that but did not change the documentation as far as I can tell.

No, nobody ever did, so thank you for taking the trouble to reply.

 

In that case I can't imagine where I got the idea from that they weren't searchable.  I appreciate the help.

I don't know if anyone ever replied to this. Memo fields are searchable in earlier versions. For instance, this query works as expected:

SELECT [1stTable].*
FROM 1stTable
WHERE MemoField Like "*Your Search Here*";

Can anyone tell me please, are memo fields searchable in Access 2010?  I know they weren't on earlier versions.
