Re: [MSAccessProfessionals] AI integration

Hi Jane,

I am working on just such a project.

Our prompt is more specific: from the uploaded several page PDF document extract the dimensions for the areas in this house floor plan, and return them using the attached sample Json output, along with a confidence level for each area (some are clearly dimensioned; others are not).

The API key is stored in a SQL Server encrypted column, and the ODBC connection to the database is encrypted as well.

This prompt, along with the API key, is sent to the AI, and it sends Json back which we then interpret and show to the user for accept/reject.

The code and form is in the existing app; it all happens with API calls (XMLHTTP library) to the AI’s endpoint.

Best Regards,

-Tom.

Subject: [MSAccessProfessionals] AI integration

Hi

Just wondered if anyone has tried integrating AI output into a database?

One of my clients have a database. They have been manually feeding pdf technical drawings into ChatGPT & it has been outputting all the text on it into a word document, which they then edit to use. They are asking the question if I could somehow automate the process, so it just picks out certain information, which they then check before it's saved to a record.

I must admit it wasn't something I'd even thought to try, but it's nice to try something new!

Thanks

Jane
