Duane, when i am in the SQL server and look at the top 200 records (looking at the table) I get instant response. Top 100, instant response.
This is the select from the pass through:
select * from tbl_provider
This is the ODBC connect string:
ODBC;Description=PHQC Database Access;DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=PHQCDB;UID=WJNorris;Trusted_Connection=Yes;DATABASE=PHQCDB
When I click the pass through on the FE it takes about 15 second to respond,
And then it gets stuck a bit, the hour glass shows, as if the query is not completed.
When i attempt to scroll, I get an access not responding.
It's horrible, the scroll is very slow, It's probably a good 90 to 120 seconds before I can scroll freely through the query results.
I just don't get this at all.
Only thing I can do next is create a 2 column table, i.e. PK and name, say 900 rows and see if this works any better. Could this be something wrong with the server configuration ? I am using SQL server 2012
