If you look at the report in Design view, you should find your filter saved in the Filter property of the report. The trick is to turn the filter "on" - not sure there's a way to do that in the UI. In code, you would set the report's FilterOn property to True.

I have report, I applied a filter on field and it all works.
I close the report and open it and it has not saved the filter.
I applied the filter on the report en report view.
I saved the report before closing it.
What is going on?
