Hi Liz
Yes, that should work now. Before you were not correctly concatenating the parts of your string, so the quotes weren’t matching up.
Best wishes,
Graham

Now I’ve got this:
strPFname = DLookup("FirstName", "LocalEmpsNSupers", "left('" & rs("FirstName") & "',4 = left('" & rs("SuperFname") & "',4) AND '" & rs("LastName") & "' = '" & rs("SuperLname") & "'")
Should I try it?

Help please with my dlookup with criteria from an exiting recordset. My eyes are bazonkers!
strPFname = DLookup("FirstName", "LocalEmpsNSupers", "left(rs("FirstName"),4 = left(rs("SuperFname"),4) AND rs("LastName") = rs("SuperLname")")
This is wrong, and I can’t think and see straight enough to put the quotes and parentheses in the right spots.
Anyone have clear eyes and a clear brain?
Respectfully,
