Re: [MS_AccessPros] May sound stupid but asking- splitting databases

Patty-

Turn off Compact on Close.  That, too, can cause corruption, especially if your VBA project isn't compiled and saved.

I have been doing some reading and following some of the conversations here and wanted some advice on my database.

Database:
1. Used by me and no one else
2. Data tables imported from electronic health record tables- I do not link to be sure not changing anything in the health record environment
3. still building report capacity- fairly new at this world and on a steep learning curve, but keeping up with the support of this group
4. Have had instability issues in the past with the database
5. Currently using it daily (workweek mainly) since building queries for reporting and creating information for others to work off of- ie: patients who need followup for x or Y.
6. Stored on my computer with backup to a server on a daily basis
7. ON close database is compacted
8. Backup daily especially now

thank you for any information you can offer
Have a wonderful evening/night
