[MS_AccessPros] Table Lookup Alternative

Hello all,

I am fairly new to Access as I started taking classes on it this summer. I am working on a db to manage my HOA where we have 89 homes (that number should never change). My end goal is to make it very easy for our HOA manager to track annual dues (paid yearly), new owners and new sales of homes, violations, liens, and hopefully eventually expenses, and then once I have some reports created I'm hoping to make it easy for her to run reports for the board meetings by just clicking a couple buttons. My tables I'm planning on building include the following: PropertyInfo, Owners, Sales, Dues, Violations, and Liens (don't need expenses right now, that'll be phase 2). I was reviewing this with my instructor from my Access class I took this summer and she recommended I create a separate table to track just the Addresses, and then use a Lookup on the other tables that I need the Address info on. But I read on here that I should not use Lookups on tables for a variety of reasons. So what I am struggling with now is how to link my tables. On my PropertyInfo table I have address as a PK, but all the other tables I'm using Autonumber to create a PK, but I have an Address field on them in order to create the relationships. Is that the best way to do this or am I overlooking a better method?

Thanks, Kyle
