Wow, you are asking a lot of Access to translate a Pivot into SQL Server syntax :-) Especially if there are things like IIF and ISNULL and SWITCH involved. (For example, in Access VBA, ISNULL() returns true if the single parameter is NULL whereas in T-SQL, ISNULL(,) returns the second parameter if the first is NULL (just like NZ(,) in Access). Access/Jet/ACEDB do a terrific job of converting Access SQL into T-SQL but it's not infallible.
Can you express the query in pure SQL Server syntax and send it as a pass-through?
