Not so, Glenn. With conditional formatting the control must be bound, but that's the only thing necessary for it to work. In the old days before conditional formatting you would be exactly right because continuous forms only have one set of controls so changing one for one record would affect all of them. CF gets around that.

Select the text box in design view. Use Conditional formatting and select "Expression" as the type. Put something like this in the expression box: 

[myCheckBox]=True

 

You'll need 2 conditions: one if the checkbox is true and one if it is false.
