http://forums.adobe.com/message/5641227 is where I went, and you need the Acrobat api from the reference library.
If it crashes on the createobject("acroexch") business, then it's because registry keys need to be set which comes from the professional edition of adobe acrobat.

BTW, I tried to open the Goldmine pdf and I couldn't open it. Can anyone else open it? I'd like to learn more about Access and pdfs.
