Yes, it would make sense to do that, particularly if there are lots of repeating values. If the SupervisorName also occurs in another row as EmName, then the table should refer to itself.

I received an EmployeeINfo table from a user, the table contains the following fields: EmID, EmName, Title, Department, Salary, SupervisorName, AmountAward.
I am wondering if it's OK or necessary if I break the table down and make the Department, Salary, SupervisorName, and AmountAward fields into a table itself, such as DepartmentTable, SalaryTable, SupervisorTable and AmountAwardTable.
