Subject: [MS_AccessPros] report with dynamic recordsource subforms and varying main recordsource
Pros,
Greetings. ARRGH. So I have this report that works delightfully well. On the open event of the form, it grabs a test type value from an open form and uses it to dynamically set the recordsources for the subforms as they are different subforms entirely. Nice.
Now… I’m going to have to print multiple records that have various test type values and don’t know how to have each record produce the page with its respective subforms as they vary.
Things I’m brainstorming are and I apologize for the chaotic thinking here…
Getting a recordset, and running through each one and sending it with the rs(“TestType”) to the “SetItUp” procedure, sending the pdf to an output file, keeping a list of all the output files, and then concatenating them together.
This is kludgy and would work, (unless I get better ideas here) but the thing that would snag me up is the concatenation of the pdf’s. Apparently, there is code out there, but when I run it I get an error that when googled, says I need to be able to add some keys to the windows registry (help desk submitted to corporate IT for that one).
Anyone?
Respectfully,
Liz Ravenwood
