Hendra, I haven't seen any indication that it is "unwise" to maintain connections to the SQL Server, even if there are more than 50 users. I have to admit however that I have *not* made use of the trick myself as I have not experienced any performance problems with Access having to reopen a connection... maybe the employers of the people running the software kept the users slaving away at the keyboard so the connection never closed ;-)
