Hi Myra,
you sound like you know what you're doing and talking about but before you try cracking anything, have you tried opening the Database with a standard .MDW rather than the "locked down" one? I had to get into a locked MDB once and found that I could open it with a standard system.mdw and although the objects were all protected, the standard admin still had the rights to add rights for him/herself for all object again. Whoever had secured the Database had done a good job of securing it, just not good enough ;-)
Yours, Andrew

I am trying to remove Access security from an MDB so that I can migrate it to 2010. This was created years ago by who knows who and you can probably guess what I don't have. I don't have the admin password. Or course I don't have the PID. I know it's breakable, but I don't know how… I would NEVER use access security because I know the likelihood of retaining the Admin ID and the PID is Pretty slim.
I've searched our site I am nervous about going to the web without smart person blessing. Thanks.
Myra
