I am by no means qualified to answer Jay's question, but I spent the major part of my working life (I'm three-score and ten now) servicing consumer electronics. We have a combo VHS/DVD player at home on which we occasionally view a DVD. The VCR side has not been used in well over ten years and I've instructed the family to *never* insert another video tape as it would very probably jam and possibly render the DVD player no longer useable. Ergo, my advise would be to use caution there.
As far as Access is concerned, you might want to do a google search for 'Crystal Long+Access' (w/no quotes, but include the + ). HTH!

The Access 2000 tapes should work well for 2003. You can learn about new
features added in 2002 (XP) and 2003 later. Now, if you were going to 2007
or later, that would be another story.

I have the complete set of video tapes that Alison produced for Keystone
Learning Systems on Access 2000. I don't have them in front of me but I
think it is about 12-16 tapes each 2 hours or so in length. I got them in
2000 and never had time to use them.
So I am now using Access 2013 and am basically a beginner. Know very little
about such things as VBA. I was thinking I might as well view them as lots
of things about the advanced parts e.g. VBA haven't changed that much.
Things e.g. as linking tables, key fields and such.
So am I wasting my time, or will I get something out of this effort?
Otherwise I might as well put them in the trash and that really bothers me.
