My table is not that big. 1200 records. 15 fields. It is used in 5 queries in the FE
What will happen to the queries if I change the name? Will I have to create the queries all over again? Will the tables disappear out of the queries with all the field now gone? If the old table stays in the query but just goes to error I can fix it one field at a time.

and depending on how big the tables are, it might make better sense to put FE objects into the BE
whichever you use, if you do, make sure AutoCorrect is off
Microsoft Access Flaws - Failures caused by Name Auto-Correct, by Allen Browne
http://allenbrowne.com/bug-03.html
if you haven't turned it off, then it is on
in 2007:
1. Click the Microsoft Office Button Button in the upper left corner
2. choose --> Access Options (lower right corner)
in 2010, 2013:
1. File ribbon menu
2. Options (near bottom)
~~~
then:
3. Current Database from left sidebar
in Access 2000 - 2003:
1,2,3. from the menu --> Tools >> Options >> General
-----------------------------------
THEN:
4. Under Name AutoCorrect Options:
uncheck --> Perform Name AutoCorrect
5. Compact/Repair
6. then go back and uncheck --> Track Name AutoCorrect info
7. Compact/Repair again
Hi Bill,
perhaps temporarily delete links and import the back-end tables into the development FE and use something like MZ Tools Deep Search and replace. It used to be free but now there is a small price.
I have a split database. I am in the ongoing effort of correcting and standardizing my naming convention.
Is there any way to change the name of a table in the BE and have it automatically go to the front end. I just want to avoid fixing all the queries.
