Bill, it looks like I could. It's just that the tables linking to other back ends are of 1. Another access database back end with its own respective front end and 2. Shared database tables with multiple front ends. I have a bit of a web here with interlinking databases. My own little kingdom I suppose. This last little database is going to do paperless work orders and only allow clock ins by authorized personnel as determined by code from a training database. Giggle. Cool thing there. J

Liz - Can't you migrate more tables once you have a converted back end? I' haven't used the MA in quite a while and I can't remember if it gives you the option to choose an existing DB or not.

Actually, never mind. In my flawed thinking I realized that I have to do additional work. If the issue is going to be several hundreds of users on at the same time, then the same would go for the links to the other back ends. Those in turn would also need to be migrated to sql server. I need to think this through better. I'm glad I have time on my side.

Bill, you gave me a link to the SQL server migration assistant and I've downloaded it and installed it. I have this database link to more than one access back end, but I'd prefer to have one sql back end and other access back ends. Is this doable?
Thanks.
