To be honest, the company doesn't us Access. I use (created) this database that enable my department to easily track, monitor and update each employee. The higher company has changed the way they want to see the date in excel. I need to change the setting so my database can follow right in line. I created formats that change the color of each date/time field on my reports and forms. Now that I had to change the date/time field to short text in order to get dd-mm-yy it doesn't recognize my formats. I used formats like Date()+30, Date()+45. I want to keep the field in date/time but need to add a new format that recognizes it as a date. Ex. Todays date, short date 02/03/16, I can make something like short short date 03-02-16.

The default format for date/time
fields is Short Date, and that inherits the format from the
system International settings. If you get your
company's Windows gurus to do a blanket change to
everyone's date format setting in Windows, you have
nothing to do. If not, then you have to go to every table
that has a date/time field and override with a custom
dd-mm-yy setting.
