Re: [MS_AccessPros] List items across instead of down on query

I forgot all about the cross tab. It worked great. Thanks.

Dale-

Perhaps a CrossTab query will do the trick. After you've added ClientID,
LastName, FirstName, SessionDate, Question_id and Response_Data to the query
grid, convert it to CrossTab. Make ClientID, LastName, FirstName and
SessionDate Row Headers. Make Question_Id the Column Header. Set
Response_Date to First or Max or Sum on the Totals row and make it the
Value.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] List items across instead of down on query

Thanks everyone for the help on the last filtering query. I did get it
working. Now I am faced with another issue. I have 3 tables I am working
with. One is called dbo_HAR_Consumers, one is called
dbo_vw_HAR_Assess_assementformmame2012, and one called dbo_HAR_Assessments.

Out of the consumers table I want these three items, ClientID, Lastname,
FirstName

Under the HAR_Assess_assement formname I want to use these fields.
question_id
Response_data

Under Assessments I am using just one field SessionDate

The tables are linked with the consumers table linked by Consumer_UUID
linked to Consumer_UUID of Assessments table. And Assessments table linked
by Session_UUID to Assessmentsforms table.

I want the query output to have multiple columns outputted for the response
data based on question_id I filter on. For example, I will be targeted some
specific question_ID numbers of 4061, 4060, 2563, 2118, 2119, 2598. Then I
want the data that relates to that question_ID to be outputted below that
column. As it is now I can use an OR statement and it will output items in a
row but it does not tell me what question_id the row represents and it would
be nicer in a column format so when I create a report I can just drag the
proper field as a column in a report unless there is another way to do it in
a report. I am using Access 2002.
