RE: [MS_AccessPros] Linking SQL Server Express with Access 2010

Tim-

SQL Server must be installed on the company server.

Note that if your database isn't well-designed for client / server use,
moving to SQL Server could make the performance slower. It is not a
panacea.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Linking SQL Server Express with Access 2010

Hi,

I am working with a group of 5 users and I split my Access 2010 database
into front_end and back_end, with the back_end placed on the company's
shared drive. If I want to speed up the database by using SQL Server Express,
would you tell me where to install the SQL Server Express (one at each
user's pc or only on the share drive)? Thanks so much for your help!

Tim
