Bill-

Scratch that idea - I just tried using a "dummy" table, but because all
reports are not updatable, it won't let me update the dummy bound field in
Report view. Looks like there's no choice but to include the check boxes
(yes/no) fields in your table and set them *before* you run the report.

Bill-

I don't think so. I just tried adding an unbound checkbox control to a
simple report. When in Report View, I can "select" the check boxes to make
them appear checked or blank. But when I switch to Print Preview, the
"checks" all disappear. Consider adding a "dummy" table that has a PKey
matching the key of the record in your report with however many check boxes
you need. Add that table to your report Record Source with a link to the
PKey field. When your report opens, run a bit of SQL to set all the check
boxes to 0. User can click the check boxes in Report View, and they should
"stick" in Print Preview because they're bound fields.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] upbound report fields

I am having my Access database fill in a form that I have to send to an
insurance company. I figured out how to take a picture of the form and put
it in the background of my report and put some report fields in front on
top. Works perfect.

The form also has a few checkboxes and one place that needs some additional
text information. Is it possible to find a way to put an unbound check box
or text box on a report, then input that information right on the report
after it is in the report format, and then have those checkboxes or
textboxes print out with the information I just put in. The information
needed is not something that I store or even want to store in my database.

Thanks for the help.
