Yes, you can assign permissions to macros that you can see in the Nav Pane,
but not to Embedded Macros.

Are there any permissions assign to the macros? I have a db that uses user
level permissions (nightmare) and I had a user that didn't have permission
to view a query used in the macro so part of it worked, part didn't.
