RE: [MS_AccessPros] Wait or pause VBA

Jim-

Perhaps use the On Change event to detect when Len(Me.txtInput.Text) = 29 and do
something?

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Wait or pause VBA

Hello all,

I have just added to a project to another department and they have asked for my
help on something, and in turn I am asking for help from you all.

They have a card scanner that scans a card, enters the value into the table and
is shown on the form. Currently the scan has 29 characters added to the table.

The issue is that we cannot get the form to move to the next record. We are
trying to get a message box to appear to tell the user to do something next. If
we put a message box on the next line The table is filled with 29 records.

We feel that if we can pause the code for a few seconds we can give the edit to
the table time to add the record.

Thank You for any help

Jim Wagner
