Hmmm. Don't know what to tell you. I just did a simple test using Access 2003
and Northwind, and it insists on sending in Excel 95 format. I even tried using
acFormatXLSX, and got the same result! The only workaround that comes to mind
is to use TransferSpreadsheet acSpreadSheetType9, and then use Outlook
automation to build a message and attach the exported file. Looks like an old
bug in 2003. Because that version is so old, it won't get fixed. Any chance to
upgrade to 2007?

Yes I have excel 2003 installed on my laptop, BUT

I will run the MDE apps on the pc that only running access 2003 runtime and no
excel installed.
