[MS_AccessPros] searching for zip codes and unlimited data entru in a field

 

First, I am new to this group, but I am also relatively new to MS Access. I am trying to build a database that I can use to search and create reports with. The information stored will be on individuals and areas that they cover in a work related environment by using zip codes. I know that a lot of fields are limited to 255 characters. As some individuals cover massive multiple areas, and sometimes even entire states, I need a field in the database that is virtually unlimited. Am I correct in assuming that a memo field will work for this, and if so, in what manner would be best to enter the data, i.e., MS Word or MS Excel?
