You always keep your mdb or accdb and use it to develop in. Then you make a new mde or accde. In fact, I have a dev copy and a production copy where i move all changes into and then use that to make my accde/mde.

I'm heading out right now, but if you post a new thread asking about hiding stuff I'll respond tomorrow as tme permits.
