I had the same thought you did. I did not read the fine print but I get the feeling that it does not include an upgrade to the next version

That's $144 a year. Not too bad a deal considering to get Access you need
Office Pro at $499. Read the fine print. If it includes an upgrade to the
"next" version of Office when released, then it's a steal for someone who has to
buy at retail.
