In addition to Crystal's great advice, you might want to review some of her excellent tutorials at http://www.accessmvp.com/strive4peace/. Also establish a good naming convention from the start. Avoid naming fields, tables, and other items with reserved words. Check Allen Browne's page at http://www.allenbrowne.com/AppIssueBadWord.html.
Keep coming back with your table/field designs so you get your application set up correctly. A bad design is difficult to correct once you have started creating forms and adding data.
