Congratulations Patrick on your recent award from Microsoft. When I first
saw your announcement, I did not realize its significance; however,
yesterday I was searching for an answer to an issue that I ran into while
developing an Access application, and I found that Microsoft has awarded
this prestiges award to only a few hundred people worldwide. That gave me a
different appreciation for your accomplishment, so although I am sure that I
still do not fully comprehend its gravity, it looks like a pretty big deal
to me. Therefore, I offer my heartiest congratulations.

I read your profile and see that you began your Access career creating a
free church management application. I guess there is hope for me too,
because I also created a free church management system that I made available
to a number of churches. Not to "cheapen" the art of Access development, but
I am a shade tree programmer, whose time does not permit me to stay on top
of all of the latest versions, but every so often, I challenge myself with a
job to try to preserve my limited skills.

Have a great day today and an even finer day tomorrow,

David
