RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: New file uploaded to MS_Access_Professionals

You would have a master table of resources with a ResourceTypeID field that identifies if the resource is labor or material or equiment or maybe even something else. Creating queries limited to type should be fairly easy.

I may be able to make something like that work. The challenge would be in doing a breakdown of labor costs, material costs, etc. Also, hey want hours input from each worker daily with a running total of hours (labor) to quickly compare to estimate to see how they are doing. If I set up pre defined lists and limited input choices for the different resources then sorting could be easier.

Thanks for the input!

Every resource had a units and rate. Estimated and actual could be stored in the same table with a field that identified estimated/actual.

On the estimate, I need to be able to add the estimate hours and the estimate materials costs to get the total estimate cost. Problem is sometimes there may only be labor and no materials, and since my query sees the "null" in the material total I don't get a total for the estimate.
