RE: [MS_AccessPros] Error fault from CSV file

Hi Robin

It seems the problem is to do with numbers in the thousands being formatted
with commas. This means that in the CSV they need to be enclosed in quotes,
so the comma doesn't signify a new field. I'm guessing that Access is
either (a) getting confused about this delineation or (b) treating the
values in quotes as text and therefore "not numeric".

Do you have any control over the creation of the CSV file? If so, could you
have it created with no comma as a thousands delimiter?

Failing that, could you email me a copy of the CSV file - or just the first
100 rows if it is large (you have my email address) and I'll see if there is
a way to define an import specification that will work for you.

Cheers,
Graham
