Re: [MS_AccessPros] access 2007 DB Using it in 2010, can it still be used in 2007 ?

Hi Terence,

the only reason you would not be able to open the database in 2007 is if it contains features that 2007 doesn't support like data macros ... I doubt this is the case for you though -- do not think you will have a problem.

Warm Regards,
Crystal

I am so so tired of the compatability trauma with 2007 2010.
I need a warm fuzzy confirmation on this.

I have a access DB written in 2007. It resides on a shared LAN. Some people have 2007 on their pc, some have 2010 on there PC. Both 2007 and 2010 will need to access the Database, NEVER at the same time.

On Monday its opened by a Access/2010 PC, then Tuesday its opened by a Access/2007 PC, etc.

Will this work? Will this be OK ?

As I understand it, an Access 2007 DB can be opened in 2010. After it's openend once in 2010 will it still be able to be opened in 2007 ?
Terence
