[MS_AccessPros] Re: ACCDB multiple users

 

Troy -

It sounds like Crystal is set to open the database exclusively. Normally, Access opens all DB files in Shared mode although you can explicitly open them exclusively. But outside software can open databases exclusively (perhaps to keep data from changing as a report is loading).

There must be a setting that you can change to Shared from within Crystal, but I'm not familiar with Crystal so I can't tell you where to look. Either that, or Crystal is not releasing the connection once the report is generated.
