Re: [MS_AccessPros] Report issues

Duane,

Thanks, that was the problem. I told all the users to use the network printer but they want to be lazy and print to their desktop printers.

I see this happen when users have different default printers. Laser printers typically allow a bottom margin of less than 1/2" while some inkjets have larger than 1/2".

My standard method for handling this is to set the top margin to about 3/8" and the bottom to 5/8". I then move all text boxes on the label (detail section) down 1/8" to compensate.

Never mind. I found the issue. the 3 databases had a specific margin for the bottom.
Thanks anyway.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Report issues

Hello all,

I have a database that I created a master template report that uses an avery label wizard and margins. I send this report to about 12 databases for supervisors to use for employee labels. All but 3 of the databases print the report with the one page of labels. the 3 databases are printing two pages with the last row of labels on the next page. I send out the same report to all of the databases. Even when I open the database, the report has 2 pages. I have checked the margins for Access and they are all the same. It is not machine specific because it happens on my machine and another user. How could the same report be different for different databases? Does any body have any ideas.

Thanks

Jim Wagner
