RE: [MS_AccessPros] Access 2003 - Need to AutoNumber starting with 000001...HELP

Hi Florence

In every textbox on a form or report where the autonumber value is
displayed, set the Format property to "000000".

This won't change the way the number is *stored*, only the way it is
*displayed*.

I would be wary about displaying an autonumber at all. It is easy to get
gaps in autonumber sequences and often this does not sit well with entities
that need to be numbered sequentially, such as invoices.

Best wishes,
Graham

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Access 2003 - Need to AutoNumber starting with
000001...HELP

I'm creating a db in Access 2003 where they want the autonumbers to start
with six numerals as follows: 000001. Have been looking all morning for an
answer.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you.
