Thanks for quick reply! This is my first post and I think this forum will be very helpful in working through some snags in my database.

I know what you mean by wanting to avoid paramater prompts. My paramater queries are based on forms to make a better user interface. To understand the issue better, pull up my database and on the main menu click the "Add Time Records" button. Enter Username = Griffis and Password = staff1. This will get you into the main data entry form. On that form click the "View Datasheet" button. Notice that you need to enter a username and password again. That is what I want to avoid. I want the time records to appear in datasheet view immediately based on the query that was initially used to login.
