Deb-
If this control is on the subform, do:
=Forms![Inventory Pieces]![Pieces_Made] * [Quantity]

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Field calculation from 2 forms
Hi all,
I am trying to calculate a field that is called Total, located on a
subform. One of the fields used to calculate is located on the main form
and is called "Pieces_Made" and the other field is located on the subform
and is called "Quantity".
This is what I put in the control source for the "Total" field.
=Forms![Inventory
Pieces]![Pieces_Made]*Forms![Inventory_Pieces_Subform]![Quantity]
After that is put in I go back to form view and in "Total" it says - #Name?
When I go back to design view and look at what is in the control source it
says this:
=Forms![Inventory
Pieces]!Pieces_Made*Forms!Inventory_Pieces_Subform!Quantity
Am I writing the expression correctly?
Thanks!
Deb
