[MS_AccessPros] Create Pivot Table in Access 2003

I'm using Access 2003 to produce a Work Order production report. I need to make it a "button push", as they want to run this report each morning.

The user wants it as an Excel file, but the data it requires is accessible in Access. The report will list all open Work Orders, and the parts and part quantities needed for each. The user has requested that the Work Orders appear in the left column, with each part ID being a separate row, and the cells corresponding to the quantity of the part needed by that Work Order.

I've written a Make Table query to extract the data from the system, so I now have a table which has multiple rows, each row containing a Work Order number, a part number, and a quantity. If I look at that table using Pivot View, I can see exactly what I need. My problem is … how do I save a Pivot View as a table?

My thought is to save the table, then export it to Excel. I know that I can export the current table to Excel, and have the user do a Pivot View, but that's not workable, with this user.

Is this possible using Access 2003?
